Classes and Lessons, Glen Waverley, Vic

On Tuesday 9th December 2025 GWPS held their annual 2026 Transition Day. This transition program is designed to set up our students for success. Classes are offered in individual and group instrumental tuition, as well as aural, theory and ensembles (which consist of a choir and orchestra). Music Theory is very deep, and as such there are many different levels of theory classes (commonly referred to as grades). It is also indispensable (for some examinations) to have obtained qualifications in Music Theory in order to receive a certificate for practical exams. Location, times, it’s easy, the staff are amazing and my kids love it.
Students in our group classes build a strong foundation in their learning of the piano, and can progress faster than Baby Music Classes students learning the  piano in a more ‘traditional’ approach. The group classes has a combination of both private and group learning so they experience the benefits of both approaches to learning. We offer lessons to introduce young children to the basic concepts of music and start them on their musical journey. This type of tuition can be undertaken as either group or private lessons. They are all incredibly supportive to my child and balance this with discipline.

Research has shown that exposing babies and toddlers to music from an early age can have a profound impact on their cognitive, emotional, and social development. Kat is so lovely with the kids and it is a really sweet class. I like that the kids are learning dance but in a really fun way. I also love that it is a class that both my daughters can enjoy  together. My daughter has been dancing at MAD for five years now (since she was two) and it is a wonderful dance school.

Our baby gym offers a solid foundation for a baby’s crucial early years by introducing them to movement possibilities that will affect their ability to move later in life. You will understand the importance of movement and how it affects your child’s motor skills and brain development under the guidance of our certified teachers. With 20 years teaching experience and a passion for educating young people in R.A.D. classical ballet, Jacinta open her school in January 2017 and so, the Jacinta Murphy School of Dance was born. Since Music For Little Mozarts is a Keyboard Course, it is advised at some stage in the course for parents to have a keyboard or piano at home for the child to practice. Our school can provide recommendations in purchasing or renting an instrument.

I currently do private badminton training with Sam and he is extremely knowledgeable and has corrected my backhand and "dropping" shot technique. Students ages 6-12 years old are suited for our Group Piano Lessons. These fees cover the administrative cost of following up on unpaid fees.
