These conversations enable our teaching team to plan proactively, support each child’s individual learning journey, and ensure the kindergarten program responds to the needs and priorities of children and their families. They want to learn and explore, which is why we teach through play-based learning. It supports language, motor skills, memory, emotions and social relationships. Educators plan play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and goals. Developing the whole child includes developing positive and productive relationships between our students, families, staff members and the community.

Your child will enjoy fun learning adventures through creative indoor activities and outdoor experiences, sustainability, inclusion and diversity. We are a one room kindergarten with 30 places for 3-year-olds, and 30 places for 4-year-old children. Our aim is to foster a deep sense of connectedness between children and the natural world, emphasising the interdependence of land, people, plants, and animals.
At Wantirna South Early Learning Centre, we proudly offer fully funded Victorian Government ‘Free Kinder’ programs for 3 & 4 Year Old Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten is delivered within our integrated Long Day Care setting and led by Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers, ensuring a high-quality, play-based learning experience. I have been in the Early Childhood Industry, nurturing and developing young children for over 27 years.I have been here at Goodstart Wantirna for the past 18 years. Kinder Haven Wantirna has strong connections with local primary schools, with school visits to the kindergarten and opportunities for children to visit their future school environment. These experiences help children feel confident, prepared and excited about starting school.
We offer high quality educational programs that give all our students the foundations for developing the skills to be successful lifelong learners and active citizens. This is made possible by the dedicated, passionate and generous-hearted staff we have here at St Luke’s. Preparing children for school begins long before each child’s Kindergarten years. Every experience, skill and relationship developed throughout the early years contributes to a child’s readiness for kindergarten and, ultimately, for primary school.

Our village is made up of children, families and teaching teams that empower each other to share their voices in the best interest of the child. State and territory regulatory authorities visit services to undertake quality assessment and rating, support quality improvement, monitor compliance, and investigate complaints and incidents. Across the year we will focus on the below overarching goals term by term, broken down from the five Learning and Development Outcomes in the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. This provides a focus point to guide our year and ensure children feel prepared for school. Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These  can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
Engaging children through exploring the kinder’s natural outdoor spaces sparks their natural curiosity and inquisitiveness around what they observe, finding solutions, and planning ideas with peers. Hi, I’m Lawrie, Kindergarten Teacher and leader of the great team at Flamingo Kindergarten. I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood and have been teaching in kindergartens for over 20 years. We also get involved in fundraising activities for causes that are important to the community. Whether your child is currently in childcare or starting soon, it’s never too early to discover all of the options available to your child. If you are after something more structured with teachers guidance and support, there are multiple Kinder Gym classes per week, depending on age.

Eligibility is determined by your child’s date of birth and Victorian Government funding criteria.
At Advance Early Learning Centres, our integrated Kindergarten Programs are delivered within our long day care environment. We apply this funding directly to your account as we receive it from the State Government, where it appears on your statements as the “Victorian Government Free Kinder Offset”. This helps reduce your childcare costs while still giving you the flexibility and extended care hours of long day care. Planned trips and visitors extend learning, encouraging exploration, social skills, and independence. Our program is brought to life by Professional Garden Educators working alongside classroom teachers. Fresh produce becomes part of meals, encouraging healthy eating practices and lifelong habits.
